The 16th Celebration of the French Language and Francophonie has been actively participated in by both 3rd year and 4th year students of Minglanilla National Science High School spearheaded by their French teacher Dr. Ermetes F. Adolfo, Jr. The Francophonie festival was held at the Alliance Francaise de Cebu at QC Pavilion, Lahug, Cebu city. The 6 public schools in Region VII were mandated to join in this activity through a national memorandum sent by Usec. Yolanda S. Quijano dated February 17, 2011 which pertains to the 16th Celebration of the French Language and Francophonie. This is spearheaded by the Embassy of France, Alliance Francaise de Manille, Ecole Francaise de Manille and the Association of French Language. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Solidarity” with the slogan Dis-moi 10 mots, qui nous relient (Tell me 10 words that connect us), which is about how the French language connects people and builds bridges between them.
